Artificial intelligence for SMEs
Five years ago, we set out to lead SMEs into the age of AI. TerraTech Holding was founded in 2019 by Torsten Blumenthal, Johannes Angebauer and Johannes Westenhöfer. At an AI start-up meeting in Bad Homburg, the founders quickly realized that there were huge gaps between the possibilities of AI technology and its actual benefits for companies. SMEs in particular, which are often reluctant to take technological change into their own hands, need solutions without barriers to entry. This realization gave rise to TerraTech – a company dedicated to the research and development of more efficient, transparent and sustainable AI systems.

Our mission is to develop cognitive systems that are not only powerful and efficient, but also resource-efficient and secure. We strive to make these “tools” accessible to everyone – regardless of size or industry. Companies should be given the opportunity to benefit from the advantages of AI without having to accept high entry barriers or security risks.

As an engineer and business economist, Torsten Blumenthal brings the perfect combination of technical understanding and entrepreneurial foresight to the company. He sees the future of the German technology sector in a transition to progressive thinking and actively shaping technological change.
Johannes Angebauer
Johannes Angebauer is the brains behind TerraTech’s advanced mathematical models. With his deep understanding of topology and mathematical principles, he creates the basis for our innovative cognitive systems, which go far beyond the possibilities of conventional neural networks.
Johannes Westenhöfer
Johannes Westenhöfer is the technical driving force behind TerraTech. With his expertise in software development, he ensures that our models are not only ground-breaking in theory, but also work flawlessly in practice. His work ensures that our solutions are efficient, secure and user-friendly for our customers.

Prof. Dr. Alexander Zeier
Partner of TerraTech Holding GmbH
Expert for digital transformation and SAP innovations
Prof. Dr. Alexander Zeier brings extensive expertise in digital transformation and SAP modernization, especially in hybrid cloud environments. As former CTO of the Accenture SAP Business Group, he has advised global corporations for over a decade, designed innovative architectures and successfully implemented over 500 projects that achieved significant competitive advantages.
His career began with a prominent role at the Hasso Plattner Institute, where he initiated the “HANA” research project and led it to market maturity. This project laid the foundation for the introduction of the real-time data platform “HANA” by SAP in 2011, which today forms the backbone of the S/4HANA product line. Together with his team, he holds eight patents relating to HANA technology.
His visions and technical solutions have significantly shaped the digital landscape and set new standards in the industry.
